Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous; do not be afraid or discouraged, for The Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

— Joshua 1:9

The program known as Physical Brain Training was developed after years of teaching physical education for the early elementary grades at Cornerstone Christian Schools. Young students were showing a decline in their coordination, strength, and overall physical abilities; directly impacting many things, most importantly their behavior and academic performance in the classroom.

Our founder combined her love for fitness and boot camps with a data driven approach to reach, nourish and improve specific body systems responsible for academic learning. The program grew into additional space, offerings and grade levels; the result was miraculous…children were able to self-regulate emotions, focus in the classroom; improving behavior and academic performance; even being discharged from regular therapies.

Physical Brain Training is a faith and peer based station fitness program that helps children build and improve their tactile*, vestibular*, and proprioceptive* body systems, which are responsible for academic learning. Our program addresses core strength, muscle development, motor skills, balance, and coordination.  It provides children the links to close developmental gaps which will empower them across all aspects of their personal growth and development.

Why is Physical Brain Training important?

Our current screen society has caused children to abandon the way they learn through physical play for more passive entertainment.  Students’ coordination and physical abilities directly impact their emotional maturity, behavior, and academic progress–children need to move their bodies in order to learn and develop critical skills sets that were natural to prior generations.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

— Matthew 28:19-20

Our Social Squad program was created to give children a safe place to play and interact with their peers outside of school. In past generations friendships were formed at school and nurtured after school by playing outside, riding bikes, being inside each other’s homes, or having sleepovers…This is how past generations learned to communicate, be creative, solve problems, create experimental structures, and even try their hand at entrepreneurship.

Our Social Squad program meets once a week for two hours. We start with prayer and devotion, participating in a physical brain training class that develops the tactile*, vestibular* and proprioceptive systems*, then shift to various curriculum based activities as a group that strengthen social skills, nurture problem solving techniques, allow for creativity, ingenuity, and provide impromptu experiences that help participants recognize their environment and practice acting appropriately to what they experience. Our Social Squad fosters children’s ability to consider the perspectives of other individuals and apply that understanding to interactions with them, provides opportunities to serve the community, activities apart from the studio to practice their abilities in real-life settings and is a perfect complement to therapies already being received.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
-Colossians 3:23-24

Our Gym Kids is a gymnastic class, developmentally appropriate for children ages 3-6...our program focuses on gymnastic fundamentals and helps children build and improve their vestibular*, tactile*, and proprioceptive* body systems. The program addresses endurance, core strength, muscle strength, tone and development, motor skills, balance, and overall coordination. Children gain confidence, improve individual discipline and develop perseverance; which will empower them across all aspects of their personal growth and development.

The class is 45 min in length and ends in the aerial silks.

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

— Proverbs 27:17

Our Girls Club program was designed to give young tweens/teen girls a safe space to be encouraged and grow in the fullness of the Lord…to form friendships that are encouraging and edifying to one another; the way Christ intended relationship inside the Body of Christ…Her win/My win is about how “what’s meant for you will not pass you by” and what’s needed and meant for another is not necessarily what is needed and meant for me…we shift the focus of comparison into camaraderie. This Club meets once a month for 1 and ½ hours…We workout together, have a group devotional time, craft/dance/self care time and conquer fear in aerial yoga.

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

-2 Timothy 1:7

Aerial Yoga is the fusion of yoga poses and aerial arts..it’s neither yoga nor aerial acrobatics--it’s finding one’s own niche somewhere in between. Aerial Yoga increases the adaptability and accessibility of yoga to various ability levels and allows participants to enhance flexibility, accelerate core strength, forge new strength, identify and  overcome fear.

Aerial Yoga is a fitness class that will take you from the ground, allow you to flip-it and reverse it, float, fly and even soar, while restoring your spirit.

Participating in Aerial Yoga helps develop the tactile* and vestibular systems*improves balance, core and upper body strength. Aerial Yoga also helps identify and conquer fear; allowing freedom and fullness in The Lord.

Our mini-camp offerings are designed to foster creativity, movement and encourage reading through-out the summer. Each camp will focus on a variety of different activities, instructors are highly qualified and love working with children. All camps will start with a physical brain training class…Additional offerings may include Spanish, dance, tap, ballet, aerial yoga, drama, book club, legos and engineering, and working together in puzzles and board games. These offerings are designed to give children a fun, safe space to move, experience things with peers and keep their brain engaged.
